YEAR END PARTY 2023 “STEEL SPIRIT – FUELING SUCCESS”
The year 2023 was a challenging and fluctuations year for steel industry in general and Vietnam Italy Steel in particular. In such a difficult situation, Vietnam Italy Steel JSC always received the support and companionship of the partners.
With the deepest gratitude to partners Vietnam Italy Steel JSC have solemnly organized the 2023 Year-end party and thanks partners with the subject “Steel spirit – Fueling success”
In this event, Vietnam Italy Steel JSC is honored to welcome the presence of strategic partners who are prestigious distributors on the steel market, the famous suppliers of scrap and materials from Japan and subsidiaries of Kyoei Steel Group (Japan).
Opening the ceremony, Mr. Yasuhiro Yonemura - General Director of Vietnam Italy Steel JSC gave his deepest gratitude and the most sincere thanks to the partners who have always accompanied, supported and cooperated with VIS on the way of development. At the event, the General Director shared important information about the construction of the second rolling mill in Hai Phong with a capacity of 500,000 tons/year, which has just started construction on January 16, 2024. The construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2024 and after testing, the second rolling mill is expected to officially come into operation in the second quarter of 2025. In addition, the General Director also shared information that From September 2024, Vietnam Italy Steel JSC has another major shareholder, Marubeni-Itochu Steel Co., Ltd. a large Japanese trading company specializing in steel billet business.

Closing the report, Mr. Bui Manh Hung - General Manager of Sales presented the greenhouse gas emissions reduction program (Net Zero) and its impact on the Vietnamese steel market.
